Illumination text under the Personal Data Protection Law (No. 6698)
1.1. Under the Personal Data Protection Law (“KVKK”, No. 6698), your personal data may be processed by GuideTourWay (“Company”) as data controller as described below. Contact address and application channels are on our website (guidetourway.com) Contact page.
2.1. Identity and contact data: Name, surname, ID number (where legally required), date of birth; email, phone, address. Purpose: Reservation and contract processes, communication, billing, legal obligations.
2.2. Transaction and security data: IP address, cookie records, session information, browser type, device information. Purpose: Website security, fraud prevention, service quality, cookie preference management.
2.3. Customer transaction data: Reservation history, tour preferences, payment method, requests and complaints. Purpose: Conclusion and performance of contract, customer service, statistics (anonymised).
2.4. Marketing data: Newsletter subscription, campaign consent, survey responses. Purpose: Advertising, campaigns and newsletters with explicit consent.
Your personal data are processed on the legal grounds set out in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK: conclusion or performance of contract, legal obligation, legitimate interest, explicit consent (for marketing and cookies) and, where required, conditions for processing special categories of data.
4.1. Your data may be transferred to business partners (tour operators, accommodation, transport, payment providers, legal advisers, authorities) only for performance of the service and legal obligations.
4.2. Where transfer abroad is required, it is carried out in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK and Board decisions (adequate protection or explicit consent).
5.1. Your personal data are collected via website forms, email, phone, cookies and similar channels. Data are retained for the period necessary for the processing purpose and in line with legal retention periods. When the purpose no longer applies, data are deleted or anonymised.
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to: learn whether your personal data are processed; request information if processed; learn the purpose; know third parties to whom data are transferred; request rectification if incomplete or incorrect; request erasure or destruction; request that rectification/erasure be notified to third parties; object to automated analysis results; claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.
To exercise these rights you may apply to the data controller (GuideTourWay) in writing, by KEP, email or other methods determined by the Board. Your application will be concluded within 30 days at the latest. If refused, the reason will be communicated in writing; you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board.
